GIS-Pro in New Orleans
I’m out in New Orleans this week for URISA’s GIS-Pro conference, an event dedicated to bringing together the URISA community of GIS analysts, surveyors, and map professionals to talk about what’s new in the industry.
If you’re interested in field data collection methodology, make sure to stop into our session on Tuesday about techniques and strategies for how you can get the most out of your field service operations. I’ll be talking about how we’re approaching the problems of pushing GIS data out to the field for data capture, but also covering ground on modern GPS hardware for survey-grade location data, and third-party specialized tools for things like asset tracking and inspection work.
Get in touch with me on Twitter if you’re out at the show and are interested in meeting up!
