Back in November when we announced our definitive Commercial Provider agreement with Esri to build on the Esri technology stack, we asked you to watch this space for updates. So, for those of you who’ve been watching (and even those who’ve maybe stepped away from the Fulcrum Focus to get a cup of coffee or something), we’ve got exciting new features and geospatial tools to share!
Get smart with improved location intelligence
Field teams no longer must rely on paper maps or a patchwork of digital mapping solutions. Now they can manage their field team processes, geographic context, and data collection using a single app on their handheld devices. You’ll also be able to use Esri-native lines and polygons in Fulcrum. This means that changes made by the manager in the office are shared immediately. They are also shared automatically with the field team.
Eliminate gridlock
Previously, sending geospatial data to and from mobile devices was a lengthy process. It often caused delays as you waited for the data to upload and become ready for use. However, the integration of Fulcrum and Esri changes this dynamic. It facilitates two-way communication of maps and geodatabase information. This process now requires less effort and considerably less time. As a result, it cuts down on hours or even days in project timelines.
Better data, faster
Real-time, bi-directional data flow between Fulcrum and ArcGIS saves time and eliminates transcription errors. In addition, using Esri’s Feature Services and layers within Fulcrum helps to overcome information silos by communicating more high-quality location intelligence to and from the field.
We’re just getting started with our integration of Esri to make Fulcrum a more powerful, useful, and comprehensive platform than ever. While you’re checking out the exciting new geospatial tools, we’re already hard at work at what comes next.
