As COVID-19 lockdown restrictions are lifted and businesses reopen, they need to take measures to protect their staff from Coronavirus infection and reduce their liability should their employees become sick. Deploy this checklist when resuming operations to make sure your staff is properly trained in cleaning and personal hygiene practices and that they consistently follow CDC guidelines.

Are COVID-19 updates posted on staff noticeboards? Or have they been provided via internal communications?

Have supervisors been informed of the risks associated with COVID-19?

Have employees been educated on how to prevent the spread of infection?

Are your employees aware of the symptoms of COVID-19?

Have you reviewed the cleaning guidelines to ensure that high-risk, high-contact areas and touch points are being regularly disinfected?

Have you followed CDC guidance for cleaning and disinfecting hard surfaces?

Have you followed CDC guidance for cleaning soft (porous) surfaces?

Have items been laundered following CDC guidance?

Are employees following the CDC's recommendation for hand-washing?

Are staff members wearing disposable gloves and gowns for all tasks in the cleaning process, including handling trash?

Are staff members following normal preventive actions while at work, including cleaning hands and avoiding touching eyes, nose, or mouth?

Is hand sanitizer (at least 60% alcohol) readily available for staff members?

Any other comments or issues to report?
