Gopher Tortoise Survey

Map locations of tortoise burrows for environmental protection easily with our Gopher Tortoise survey app - Mark burrows, take photos, & plot GPS points

Gopher tortoises are a protected species throughout much of the southeastern United States, so tracking the locations of their burrowing locations can be critical to understanding behavioral patterns and habitats. The Gopher Tortoise Survey app can be used to identify and map locations of gopher tortoise burrows to check for occupancy and document with photos. The map and survey are open to edit and modify to fit your specific species tracking goals and needs. Use the map you create in Fulcrum to share your data with fellow researchers, policy makers, or park staff to better protect and care for this threatened species. This app is fully customizable to fit your surveying needs, and works offline in case of field work with no internet signal.

This app cannot be automatically loaded in AU, CA, or the EU.
