Spatial Networks Year in Review: 2018

December 26, 2018

As we reflect on the last year and all that the Spatial Networks team has accomplished, I’d like to share a number with you: 130,021,386.

It’s a staggering amount, 130 million.

Fulcrum help!

What’s the significance? It’s the number of data records our customers have collected with Fulcrum so far.

Mind you, that number is about two weeks old, so it’s higher now.

Every year around this time, I ask my CTO, Zac, to collect metrics around our customers’ usage of our mobile data collection platform. And year after year, I’m amazed.

More 2018 metrics

Here are a few more numbers he shared with me:

  • 110,000 people have used Fulcrum
  • 47,000 different organizations have used it for field data collection
  • 180 countries where Fulcrum has been used

Those numbers are a testament to the talent and commitment of the Spatial Networks team.

What’s even more exciting is that I expect the metrics Zac gives me at the end of 2019 to dwarf those — by a lot. We have several new products in development and we’ve made significant investments in infrastructure to allow us to scale the business in the coming months and years.

Spatial Networks heads into 2019 at a robust 53 full-time employees — a 60% growth in headcount since 2017. That includes the addition of two significant executive roles, the Executive Vice President for Government Solutions (Brian Monheiser) and Chief Strategy Officer (Derek Nadalini).

Next year, we will hire a Chief Marketing Officer, along with 14 other new team members.

Let it suffice to say: 2019 is going to be a big year. See you then.
